Really enjoyed captain leiderhosen. Fun and charming! Now, about green fashion: A couple of months ago I was flipping through (American) Vogue and came across a 3 page article on alternative shopping bags. I immediately called my brother because I knew he'd "get" why I was laughing hysterically as I read the article. Every one of the bags was over 0 and a couple were over 00. Does anyone else out there see the irony in this?? "Green" is about across-the-board responsibility. People are dying of starvation and disease all over the world. And someone's going to "help" by buying a 00 "alternative shopping bag"?? I mean, that doesn't even count as an ATTEMPT. Fashion is absolutely fun and lovely - and it's a privilage. Perspective. We reeeeeally need perspective. And, yes, the green movement is here to stay because war, poverty etc are also here to stay, sadly, and we'll need to find ways to fight the power. Whatever it takes. Except for a 00 shopping bag.

I think green fashion is here to stay, and will gain importance and momentum over time. I personally would like to see green fashion move from couture and designer level to mass market where it will make the biggest impact on the earth, and also be accessible to people of all incomes.

Ladies this is fun, fun, fun. I loved the grassroots (no pun intended) approach to "Green". And that guy's super cute and can totally wear hats ;)

I'm so happy that you did an episode related to green fashion. Rainer makes a really good point about designers having to deliver what the customers demand. Everyone is more environmentally conscious these days, and I don't think that eco-design is merely a trend (even for "fashionistas"!) WooHoo... keep it coming!!!
